Sad News!!

It is with deep sorrow that I write this blog.

For those of you who pop into this website regularly or occasionally you will remember our excitement of last year.

We had two events in July 2011 both very important, one was my daughters wedding her marriage to Andrew Monk, they had been together 9 years and had made the decision to make their union more secure.

The day was such a happy one and many good things were looked forward to.  Andrew was poorly early part of this year with a spell in hospital, a barrage of tests were undertaken, he was released and told to lead a normal life!  On the 5th July in the evening he died suddenly, for him a quick and what appeared a painless death, for us his family, especially Vicky, his parents, his brother and sister, a long and painful existence.  We await the why!! the cause of his death, such a long and horrendously drawn out process.

I brought my girls up to know that death is part of life, I am so proud of the way Vicky is handling her grief, with a dignity second to none, proud of all of them, Gemma and Sarah have gathered round their sister to support her, proud of Joe, my other son and thank him for his strength and for becoming my son.  There are no words to comfort Andrews family,  we will all be there for each other, two families combined in grief.

Friday the 27th July 2012 will be a celebration of Andrews time on this planet, a day of much happiness and a great deal of sadness.  Rest in your peace Andrew for we all miss you.

To end on a lighter note, we have such wonderful animals coming into our care they lift our hearts and spirits and make us laugh with their antics, a book in the making I think!!
