A sad tale!

Its always such a pity when there is a small minority of irresponsible dog owners who spoil the reputation of the many who are highly conscientious and responsible.

A few weeks ago when I went to bring the pony in from his field I noticed a change in where the sheep were (the sheep were the ponies companions) a dog had attacked and killed one, maiming the other which resulted in it having to be put down. Consequently the pony is not happy being in his field after witnessing something as horrific as that and the loss of his companions. These sheep had real characters and names, they were members of our family as are all our animals.

How sad, though, that whoever this person was who owned the dog that did the deed could not own up to it, they walked away leaving an injured animal and a very distressed pony.

We can but hope they give thought to what happened and do not let it occur again.
